New FAA Advisory Circular (AC) 93-1, “Reservations for Unscheduled Flights at High Density Traffic Airports,” effective October 1, provides details of the FAA’s overhaul of the general aviation slot-reservation process for  New York JFK International and La Guardia Airports, as well as Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (when reopened to GA). Changes include a move to a 72-hr reservation window and an online slot-reservation system.

With the recent activation of ConciAir, Signature Flight Support has joined the list of FBOs offering online servicing orders. ConciAir enables customers to order fuel, food, hangar space and other services, as well as make hotel reservations and ground transportation arrangements at not only the 49 Signature locations around the world but also, in an unusual non-partisan move, at more than 600 other FBOs across the U.S.

The comment period on a proposal to continue the reservation and slot program under the high-density rule at New York La Guardia Airport (LGA) closes December 29. The program, which includes a slot-reservation system for general aviation operations (six slots are available per hour between 6:30 a.m. and 10 p.m.), is currently set to expire on January 1.

The comment period on a proposal to continue the reservation and slot program under the high-density rule at New York La Guardia Airport (LGA) has been extended from October 30 to December 29, the result of requests the Air Transport Association, Regional Airline Association, Airports Council International and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

The comment period on a proposal to continue the reservation and slot program under the high-density rule at New York La Guardia Airport (LGA) has been extended from October 30 to December 29, the result of requests from several trade groups. The program, which includes a slot-reservation system for general aviation operations (six slots are available per hour between 6:30 a.m. and 10 p.m.) is set to expire January 1.
