The second annual Super Bowl party and golf tournament held at Houston-based Wing Aviation raised more than $13,000 for the Wing Aviation/PAMA Scholarship Fund. The annual program is dedicated to helping fund one year’s tuition for a student attending Westwood College of Aviation Technology. More than 200 attended the party and 100 golfers participated in the golf tournament.

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) is replacing its annual convention with two events, the FBO Leadership Conference March 19 to 22 in Orlando, Fla., and the Air Charter Summit (including fractionals) to be held in early summer near Washington, D.C. NATA surveys showed that members “are interested in learning about issues affecting their business,” spokesman David Almy explained.

The Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA) is asking the entire aviation community to call their Congressional representatives and ask for their support of House Resolution 586 (108th Congress).
