With the Super Bowl just five days away, there is still parking space at the major business aviation airports in the New York City area. The five FBOs at Teterboro Airport, less than five miles from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., have received more than 800 reservations from tomorrow through next Tuesday morning, including passenger drop-offs.

Two executives from TLC Aviation at St. Maarten (Netherlands Antilles) International Airport that are experts in private/executive aviation in the Caribbean will be at the NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference this week in New Orleans.
Landmark Aviation announced yesterday that it has doubled down on its property holdings at Westchester County Airport in White Plains, N.Y., with the acquisition of independent FBO Panorama Flight Support. With its latest addition, Landmark acquired a 20,000-sq-ft hangar, for a total of approximately 96,000 sq ft of heated community hangar space on nearly 26 acres of property.
At its press conference here at NBAA 2013 yesterday, Million Air announced the newest additions to its network and its first base in Florida, following the recent purchase of Avion Jet Center at Orlando Sanford International Airport. The Houston-based company is set to embark on a $3.5 million renovation of the facility, with work starting on the 10,000-sq-ft hangar at the beginning of the year. The location also features a 7,000-sq-ft terminal, which will soon include all the usual Million Air amenities including a theater room and the popular soda bar.
NetJets “soft opened” its new 10,000-sq-ft dedicated passenger terminal solely for the fractional provider’s customers at Palm Beach (Fla.) International Airport last month, almost exactly a year after breaking ground on the facility. A formal grand opening is scheduled for November 6, but AIN was able to get a first look at the new complex just before the NBAA Convention this week.
Jet Aviation relocated its FBO at Zurich International Airport to a new building adjacent to the existing General Aviation Center. It has been rebranded with the new corporate look and feel unveiled earlier this year at Jet Aviation’s FBO in Geneva. The new Zurich FBO now has a separate entrance with a reception area and customer lounge, as well as a “spacious” customs and immigration area. An expanded crew lounge with a snooze room at the Zurich facility will be completed in November, Jet Aviation said.
Classic Interior Completions (CIC) of Willoughby, Ohio, anticipates the market is “getting ready to jump” and has been expanding to meet it.
The center is now settled into a new 18,000-sq-ft off-airport facility that provides twice the space of the former structure, and is expanding capabilities at its Naples, Fla. site. CIC is also looking for a suitable facility in the Phoenix/Mesa, Ariz. area. The center at Naples, Fla. is being expanded to mirror operations at Willoughby and the new Phoenix/Mesa site will operate at the same level.

B. Coleman Aviation is building an FBO at Chicago-Gary International Airport, the company announced today. The facility will feature more than 25,000 sq ft of general aviation terminal and hangar area, in addition to a 12,500-sq-ft airside canopy large enough for Gulfstream and Bombardier ultra-long-range jets. Completion of the FBO complex is slated for the second quarter next year, though B. Coleman Aviation is now providing fuel sales and FBO services from a temporary facility at the field.
