Greenwich AeroGroup has named Ralph Kunz as general manager of Summit Aviation. Kunz has more than 20 years experience in aerospace operations. He will be responsible for operations at Summit’s Middletown, Del., and Somerset, Ky. facilities. Kunz most recently served as vice president of operations for Airborne Tactical Advantage. Previously he held senior leadership positions with Keystone/Sikorsky Helicopters, Vector Aerospace and Parker Hannifin.
Motion and control-technology company Parker Aerospace (Hall 4 Stand A18), a division of Parker Hannifin, has won valuable systems business from Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China (Comac) for the 170-passenger C919 single-aisle airliner. The company designs, manufactures and services fluid, fuel, flight-control and engine components and systems for aerospace and other industries.
Hamilton Sundstrand has won a contact from China's Comac to provide the electric power generation and distribution systems for the 150- to 190-seat C919 narrowbody, the Windsor Locks, Conn.-based supplier announced today. Hamilton Sundstrand places the value of the work at more than $1 billion over the life of the program.

Parker Hannifin’s Parker Aerospace division is exhibiting new fuel tank and engine nozzle technologies at this year’s NBAA show, as well as flight control, hydraulic, water and waste-system components that it manufactures for a variety of OEMs. Parker’s fuel-filtration and water-coalescing system eliminates water as it is uploaded in the fuel tanks, uniting the water molecules and removing them.

Parker Hannifin has signed two agreements with major aerospace companies, which could net the company some $7.5 billion over the life of the programs. It will be partnering with Rolls-Royce on the Trent XWB engine for the new Airbus A350XWB family of airliners. Parker will provide the complete hydraulic and fuel systems for the A350XWB, as well as the fuel tank inerting system.
