Flight-planning and ground-handling specialist group Feras has opened a new operations center at Prague in the Czech Republic. Feras specializes in supporting operations in the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as eastern and central Europe. Its main headquarters is in Moscow. The new operation is led by Olga Lomteva, who has been the company’s Moscow operations manager for the past seven years.

Gulfstream Aerospace has added the Jet Aviation maintenance center at Moscow Vnukovo as a Gulfstream authorized warranty line service facility for the full line of Gulfstreams. The airframer has also announced the appointment of a new field service representative in Moscow who will provide immediate customer support and service to in-country and in-transit Gulfstreams.

NetJets Europe is targeting fast-expanding Russian businesses for its fractional-ownership program. It has dropped the ferry charges that have previously been applied for flights out of Moscow and St. Petersburg to allow Russian clients the same terms and conditions as provided to program members in western Europe.

Jet Aviation yesterday signed an agreement with Vnukovo Invest that will allow the Swiss-based aviation company to provide maintenance services at Moscow Vnukovo International Airport by year-end. The deal makes Jet Aviation the first global independent business aviation services company operating in the growing Russian bizjet market.

Zhukovsky, Russia-based Myasishchev has received Russian AP-23 type certification for its M-101T  business aircraft. The M-101T has a pressurized cabin and a single 760-shp Walter M601-22F turboprop driving on Avia V-510 propeller.
