International Corporate & Cargo Services (ICCS, Booth No. 2093), one of Mexico’s largest providers of ground-handling services, is here at NBAA’12 to promote its network. The Mexico City-based company can provide handling for corporate flights at all 73 airports in the country as well as at major airports in Latin America and the Caribbean. Among its offerings are catering, fuel, legal assistance and representation, landing and overflight permits and authorizations, ground transportation and private security for passengers and aircraft.
On September 26, Hawker Beechcraft Global Customer Support celebrated the grand opening of its newest service center at the Aeropuerto Internacional del Norte in Monterrey, Mexico. Besides maintenance, repair and modification of airframes, powerplants and avionics systems, the Mexican Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil-certified Hawker Beechcraft Services facility also offers interior modification and exterior paint. This is the second HBS facility in Mexico.
ExecuJet has opened an office at Toluca Airport in Mexico to support its maintenance, charter/management and sales activities. The company has been operating in Mexico from offices at Mariano Escobedo and Del Norte International airports in Monterrey since 2002. “The opening of our Toluca office supports both our existing customer base and is a key part of our development plan,” said Adrian Zambrano, managing director of ExecuJet Mexico.
The Mexican air-taxi company Sarsa purchased a new Raytheon Hawker 800XP at the convention. Based in Monterrey, Sarsa has flown Hawkers for 30 years, and this is their 12th purchase of the aircraft. “They are so reliable you can bank on them,” said Felipe Cardenas, general director of Sarsa. The air taxi’s typical mission is 1.2 hr with four passengers. Twice a month, it flies from Toluca, Mexico, to New York nonstop.
