China’s newest charter operator–AllPoints Jet–ordered a pair of Gulfstream jets yesterday. The long-range G450 and G550 aircraft will be delivered in the first quarter of 2013 to the company’s base at Chengdu International Airport, from where AllPoints provides charter, management and maintenance.

China’s newest charter operator–AllPoints Jet–ordered a pair of Gulfstream jets today at Abace. The G450 and G550 will be delivered in the first quarter of 2013 to the company’s base at Chengdu International Airport, from where AllPoints provides charter, management and maintenance. Gulfstream also celebrated deliveries of a midsize G200 to Hong Kong-based Asia Jet and a G450 to Beijing-based Nanshan Jet at the show.

Hong Kong’s Metrojet and California-based Solairus Aviation formed a strategic alliance to offer aircraft management and charter services in Asia, they announced today at Abace. The two companies, respectively holders of Hong Kong and U.S. air operator’s certificates, provide owners with the ability to offer their aircraft for charter to offset aircraft ownership costs.

Rolls-Royce has named Metrojet, the Hong Kong-based business jet operator and maintenance provider, as the first authorized service center for its BR710 series engine in Asia. The engine powers Gulfstream V/500/550 and Bombardier Global Express series aircraft.

Gulfstream Aerospace yesterday announced plans to establish a business jet service center in China. Gulfstream Beijing will be a joint venture with Beijing Capital Airlines (Deer Jet) and Grand China Aviation Technik (GCAT) at Beijing Capital International Airport.

Hainan Airlines Group subsidiary Deer Jet is China’s largest business jet charter provider. Its fleet includes 26 Gulfstream aircraft. GCAT, another Hainan subsidiary, offers aircraft repair, maintenance, and overhaul services.

Jet Edge International, a charter/management and maintenance firm based in Van Nuys, Calif., has formed a partnership with Asia Jet, a charter provider that was launched in 2008 in Hong Kong. Under the partnership, Jet Edge is the exclusive operator of Asia Jet N-registered charter flights.
