Pentagon 2000 Software is on hand here in Las Vegas (Booth No. C9426) to demonstrate its “enterprise resource planning” software for the aerospace industry. “At this year’s exhibits, we [are] fully staffed to meet with both existing customers and new prospects,” company president Gabriel Mofaz, told AIN. “We [are] showing the full set of Pentagon 2000SQL system capabilities, and we have some new e-commerce and mobile applications that will be attractive to attendees.”
Swiss-German logistics specialist Kuehne+Nagel has launched KN EngineChain, “to meet the growing need for companies in the sector in relation to services dedicated to the transport of engines.”
The company notes that while technical work on engines is regulated in detail by aviation authorities, “When it comes to the logistics of engines, the regulatory text is quite generic and needs to be aligned with the high value of the product.”
On Tour Logistics (OTL), a tour transportation and logistics management company catering to the entertainment industry, has partnered with Bombardier Flexjet. Through Flexjet and Jet Solutions, On Tour Logistics will provide clientele with private travel on Flexjet’s Learjets and Challengers, expanding the coverage of current OTL alliance member Averitt Air. “The remarkable flexibility to fly home quickly and safely from almost anywhere is priceless. Pattonair has moved into a new 24,000-sq-ft distribution center in Indianapolis in support of growth related to its Rolls-Royce North America contract. The AmeriPlex-Indianapolis Business Park is five miles from Indianapolis International Airport. During the initial implementation of the contract in 2011 Pattonair established an interim building to begin operations. Pattonair provides kitting, line feed, distribution, aftermarket and MRO, consultancy, reverse logistics, warehouse management and supplier management.
Sikorsky Aerospace Services (SAS), the aftermarket business of Sikorsky Aircraft, now has parts warehouse in Brazil to support commercial operators of the S-76 and S-92 in that country. Powerpack, Sikorsky’s long-standing Brazilian representative, will manage inventory operations through the country’s special customs system known as Depósito Especial.

Cleveland, Ohio-based Constant Aviation has named Lance Lajara to the position of large fleet account manager. Lajara has more than 15 years’ experience in the aviation industry and most recently was customer care manager with Honeywell. During his tenure at Honeywell he held numerous roles covering quality, operations, logistics and customer service. “Adding a dedicated account manager who understands the large fleet operator’s expectations and processes will provide the best level of service,” said Stephen Maiden, the MRO’s president.
Pattonair has opened a European Hub in Derby, UK, where the Pattonair Group head office is located. It will serve as a central hub for all of the company’s European operations. Pattonair’s supply chain services include kitting, line feed, distribution, aftermarket and MRO, consultancy, reverse logistics, warehouse management and supplier management. Customers include large global aerospace OEMs and Tier 1, 2 and 3 manufacturers such as Rolls-Royce, Goodrich Actuation Systems and Parker Aerospace.
