France has not been as badly hit as many other countries by the financial crisis and neither has its business aviation community, according to the French chapter of the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA).

Paris’ Le Bourget Airport (Booth No. 547) has pressed ahead with its long-term development plan despite the economic climate and is focusing on improving access to the site. The first phase of the Le Bourget redevelopment plan, which is to run through to 2023, was completed last year with only a few minor aspects of the work deferred.

Dubai-based JetEx Flight Support has made its first move into FBO management by buying the FlyingGroup facility at Paris Le Bourget Airport. The FlyingGroup, based in Belgium, sold the FBO so that it can focus on its aircraft charter and management activities. Details of the sale were not disclosed.

Dubai-based JetEx Flight Support has made its first move into FBO management by completing the acquisition of the Flying Group facility at Paris Le Bourget Airport. The Belgian company has sold the FBO for an undisclosed sum so it can focus on its aircraft charter and management activities. According to JetEx CEO Adel Mardini, the Paris acquisition is part of a long-term strategy to establish an international network of FBOs.
