NBAA said printed brochures mailed to members for the association’s 37th annual International Operators Conference contain incorrect dates for the event. This year’s conference will be held from March 29 to April 1 in New Orleans, La. For more information on the IOC, go to www.nbaa.org/ioc.

PrivatAir, the Geneva-based company specializing in executive charter with large aircraft, announced the launch of a training service for employees of private jet operators. The new service aims to help operators cope with upcoming regulatory changes requiring mandatory and regular flight-crew training in areas such as safety procedures, medical requirements, handling of dangerous goods, security and crew resources management.

Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg recently spent their first 25 hours at the controls of a flight simulator that replicates the cockpit in the first Solar Impulse prototype HB-SIA. Piccard flew the prototype from Tuesday, May 13 at 7:27 a.m. to Wednesday, May 14 at 8:43 a.m., and Borschberg from Thursday, May 15 at 7:20 a.m. to Friday, May 16 at 8:38 a.m.

A new international operators scholarship to benefit those who are involved with, or wish to become involved with, international business aviation operations in any capacity is being offered by NBAA. It was developed and will be administered by the NBAA International Operators Committee (IOC) and the sponsoring ExxonMobil Aviation and its Avitat FBOs.
