Bombardier Learjet 45, Mexico City, Mexico, Nov. 4, 2008–The Learjet, carrying Mexico’s Interior Minister, Juan Camilo Mourino, four of his aides and three crewmembers, crashed into a business district in Mexico City during rush hour, killing all on board. Five people on the ground were killed when the jet crashed into a number of cars, setting them on fire, and 40 people were injured.

On November 4 Learjet 45 XC-VMC crashed into a mixed residential and commercial area in central Mexico City during an approach to Benito Juarez International Airport in clear weather. All nine occupants were killed. Five people on the ground were also killed and another 40 people injured.
