Sales for the second quarter were down 10 percent from last year to $701 million, despite the fact the manufacturer delivered two more aircraft in the same period.

Hawker Beechcraft has chosen InterGlobe General Aviation to provide sales and service support for its aircraft in India. The company will be Hawker Beechcraft’s exclusive representative for the Hawker 400XP; the Hawker 125 series, including the Hawker 750, Hawker 850XP and Hawker 900XP; and Hawker 4000. The company’s territory includes India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives and Myanmar.
Operators of the Hawker 800 series now have a new option for maintenance in the UK: Hawker Beechcraft has named TAG Farnborough an authorized service center.
Hawker Beechcraft has signed a multi-year contract with Satyam Computer Services, India’s fourth-largest software exporter, to provide design and other services.
Selected for its aerospace engineering experience, Satyam will enable Hawker Beechcraft to streamline its engineering operations and “respond more quickly to business opportunities,” the U.S. airframe manufacturer said.
The new owners of Hawker Beechcraft are starting on a high note. The company announced greatly improved first-quarter earnings last week, with net sales in the first quarter of this year up 32.3 percent from the same period a year ago, to $667.8 million. Hawker Beechcraft delivered 60 turbine aircraft in the first three months of this year, placing it second overall in terms of units shipped.
Business jet shipments worldwide increased 12 percent in the first quarter of this year over the same period last year, according to a report released Friday by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA). The association said that the industry delivered 211 aircraft between January 1 and March 31, compared with 188 in the same period last year.
NetJets has presented its annual trophy for Best Heavy Maintenance Provider during 2006 to Hawker Aircraft Services. It’s the third time the company has won
the annual maintenance honor; it has also previously received NetJets’ Supplier of the Year Award. The Hawker Aircraft Services facility performs heavy maintenance on NetJets’ domestic fleet of 71 Hawker 400XPs and Hawker 800XPs.
Four Raytheon Aircraft Services (RAS) technicians and two technicians from Hawker Aircraft Services have completed the training requirements for the FlightSafety International master technician designation.
Camp Systems has been selected to take over the Facts maintenance tracking business from Raytheon Aircraft Company (RAC). The agreement designates Camp as the exclusive factory-endorsed provider of maintenance tracking services for all Hawkers and Beechcraft. It also calls for Camp to provide extensive feedback to RAC for maintenance and reliability data for the entire Hawker and Beechcraft fleet.
