Hawker Beechcraft’s 400XPR upgrade program has achieved two milestones: the first set of Williams International FJ44-4A-32 engines was recently mounted on the 400XPR test airplane and certification has been achieved for the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite.
FlightSafety International has promoted John Brasfield to manager of the Cessna Aircraft Maintenance Learning Center in Wichita. Brasfield has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility since joining FlightSafety in 1999 at its Hawker Beechcraft Learning Center in Wichita. He joined the company as an instructor, served as program manager for training on the Beechjet, Hawker 800XP and Hawker Horizon and then as director of programs. He most recently served as assistant manager of the Wichita Cessna Learning Center.
Hawker Beechcraft is exhibiting its King Air 350ER special-mission demonstrator in the Singapore Airshow static display, the first time the type has appeared in the Asia Pacific region. Earlier this month a BeechJet 400A left Fort Lauderdale’s Banyan Air Service for Argentina outfitted with the Thrane & Thrane Aviator 200 Swift Broadband system. “About half our customer base is in South America, and that market is about to explode,” Brian Wilson, Banyan’s director of avionics, told AIN.
