Duncan Aviation advises that all operators of Honeywell engines that do not run them frequently and want to keep them off the Damaged Engine List should spool them to N1 rotation speed once a month and make a logbook entry. Duncan also said engines dormant longer than six months require fuel system preservation.

Boeing Business Jets are included in a new AD that expands the provisions of an August 30 emergency AD concerning possible exposed wires in fuel pumps that, in combination with a volatile air/fuel vapor mix in a partially filled fuel tank, could cause an explosion.
Boeing 737s, including the derivative BBJ, have been hit by another emergency AD affecting the twinjet’s fuel pumps. The latest directive (AD 2002-24-51) results from overheating pumps and requires affected aircraft to continue to carry the same minimum fuel quantities as required by the September 30 emergency AD dealing with chafed pump wiring.
The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) warned its members of a new requirement imposed by the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries Heavy Weights and Measures Division. According to NATA, the state has decided to apply legal standards for self-serve auto fuel pumps to aviation facilities.
Europrop International (EPI) performed the first TP400-D6 engine control and monitoring system (CMS) test in Villaroche late in May, the consortium announced just before the show. The TP400 is the turboprop engine designed for the Airbus A400M military transport aircraft.

These standards include a requirement for all self-serve pumps to have visual indicators of quantity and cost and that all pumps reset to zero when finished pumping.
