Trip support group United Aviation Services (UAS) has boosted its international network with a new U.S. headquarters established in Houston and the launch last month of a trip management system. The Dubai-based company has signaled its intent to roll out more flight-support offices in other parts of the world.

With competition among operators getting tougher every day, the need for proper flight planning is more important than ever.
Jetex Flight Support, in collaboration with Honeywell, launched the MyJETEX iOS app, which allows operators to plan and manage their worldwide trips. Features include flight planning, aircraft datalink, flight following and international trip support services. The collaboration on the new app follows an agreement signed at EBACE whereby Jetex is offering Honeywell’s Global Data Center (GDC) flight support services to its clients in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
ForeFlight (Booth N3404) announced enhancements to its popular ForeFlight Mobile iPad app and several collaborations with other aviation companies, all aimed at helping pilots to be more productive during flight planning and in the cockpit.
Arinc Direct is at LABACE with the prospect of a merger of its parent company with Rockwell Collins in the offing, subject to regulatory approval. It is something that would provide significant opportunities for both companies in the online flight planning and support business, admitted Arinc Direct senior director of sales Joel Ehrman. “We can’t even talk about it yet,” he told AIN.
Jeppesen (Booth 1351) has teamed up with Honeywell to develop what it claims is the first integrated navigation data service (INDS) data manager application for the iPad. It will be available later in the summer, initially for operators of the Pilatus PC-12 NG with the Honeywell Primus Apex integrated flight deck and Aspen Avionics CG100P connected panel. The INDS solution greatly simplifies the update process by wirelessly uploading or downloading critical Jeppesen and Honeywell flight data to the onboard avionics.

World Fuel oversees the Air Elite and World Fuel Network member FBOs, and makes the e-learning program available to member companies’ employees free of charge.
