ExcelAire’s team will meet passengers as they arrive at either New York John F. Kennedy or Newark International Airports and swiftly transfer them to awaiting private jets for their onward journeys.

Aircraft management company and charter operator ExcelAire (Booth No. 1143) announced the addition of a fourth Embraer Legacy 600 to its charter rolls, giving the company the largest fleet of Legacy jets in the Northeast. The added Legacy and its crew will be certified to operate into and out of London City Airport midway through next year, adding to its appeal for transatlantic charters. “We pioneered the Legacy charter market in the U.S., and it has since become one of our most popular aircraft,” said David Rimmer, president of the Ronkonkoma, N.Y.-based company.
Cleveland, Ohio-based Constant Aviation has opened a new facility in Las Vegas. “This is a huge accomplishment for our company and employees but most of all for our customers. Expanding to a third location has been a long-term goal for quite some time. It made sense that the growth was on the West Coast,” Stephen Maiden, the MRO provider’s president, told AIN.
Hawthorne Global Aviation Services has acquired a second FBO in its bid to establish a network. The South Carolina-based company, which has an 80-year heritage in aviation, purchased a controlling interest in the Aeropremier facility at New Orleans Lakefront Airport and will rebrand it as a Hawthorne property. The location, which completed extensive renovations earlier this year, has more than 50,000 sq ft of hangar space and can accommodate aircraft up to the size of a G550.

Constant Aviation has opened a new landing-gear repair and overhaul facility at its Birmingham, Ala. location. The facility will begin servicing Beechjet 400A/XP landing gear and expand to include the Embraer Legacy 600 and Hawker 800A/XP in the coming months.
Hawthorne Global Aviation Services opened an FBO at Long Island MacArthur Airport in Islip, N.Y, today. The facility is co-located with aircraft charter, management and maintenance firm ExcelAire. In conjunction with the opening, Hawthorne also announced plans to add up to 32,000 sq ft of hangar and office space to the FBO, allowing it to accommodate bizliners. The FBO is also a qualified gateway to Washington Reagan National Airport.
Charleston, S.C.-based Hawthorne Global Aviation Services acquired FBO and aircraft charter and management company ExcelAire at MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma, N.Y.“We are delighted to be teaming up with ExcelAire as we focus on building our fixed-based operations network,” said Hawthorne president and CEO Steven Levesque. “This acquisition highlights our continued FBO focus with expansion into aircraft charter, management and maintenance.” The value of the deal was not disclosed.
