This year’s Helitech, to be held from September 24 to 26 at its new London venue, will attract more international visitors, according to organizers of Europe’s main helicopter trade show.

The Helitech show, which has long been held every odd-numbered year in Duxford, UK, and mounted a Portuguese spinoff in 2008 and 2010, is moving to become “a truly international helicopter show.” Next year it will take place at the Excel London exhibition and convention center from September 24 to 26. Henceforward it will be an annual event, and Berlin will host the 2014 event.

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Start-up VLJ developer Excel-Jet is taking this saying to heart as it attempts to move its headquarters in exchange for local government financial support. Nearly two years ago, the Monument, Colo.-based company said it was moving to Guthrie, Okla., to take advantage of a $3 to $5 million incentive package from local and state resources.
