Brazil’s Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) has awarded Elliott Aviation an STC for the installation of Rockwell Collins’s traffic alert and collision avoidance system (TCAS 4000) in Beechcraft King Air 200 and 300 series aircraft. Elliott Aviation previously earned certification for the installation from the FAA. “Brazil has one of the largest King Air 200/300 fleets,” Mark Wilken, director of avionics sales, told AIN.

Moline, Ill.-based Elliott Aviation has signed a service center agreement with
Jet Support Services (JSSI) to provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services, paint and interior refurbishment services, and to supply spare parts to JSSI clients enrolled in the company’s hourly cost maintenance program.

Elliott Aviation’s four FBOs, Millville Jet Center and Sacramento Jet Center’s two FBOs are now branded Air BP fuel sellers. Elliott Aviation, founded in 1936 and family owned since then, has FBOs and maintenance facilities in Moline, Ill.; Minneapolis; Des Moines, Iowa; and Omaha, Neb.

A Challenger 600 and Falcon 50 recently rolled out of Elliott Aviation’s Moline, Ill. paint shop, both firsts of those types for the company. The Challenger 600 featured a paint scheme in which Elliott Aviation paint shop manager Kirk Wood collaborated with the customer and outside sources to produce an iridescent “pearlized” look for the aircraft exterior.

• Elliott Aviation held a grand opening last month celebrating its new $6 million completion center at Quad City Airport in Moline, Ill. The 48,000-sq-ft facility offers paint, interiors, cabinetry, cabin amenities and avionics modifications for turboprops through midsize jets.

The FAA presented Elliott Aviation’s Moline, Ill., and Omaha, Neb. service facilities with the Diamond Award of Excellence for aviation maintenance training for the fifth consecutive year. The honor, which is part of the Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) awards program and is the highest achievement of its kind, recognizes technicians and maintenance facilities for excellence in maintenance training.

Elliott’s stable of STCs now includes installation of the Universal Avionics application server unit for Cessna Citations and Dassault Falcons, and Rockwell Collins’ integrated flight information system for the King Air B200 and 350.

Elliott Aviation of Moline, Ill., has authorization to do full line service and maintenance on the Williams-Rolls FJ44-1A/2C and -2A turbofans used on the Cessna CitationJet and Beechcraft Premier I, respectively.

“The Williams-Rolls authorization is one more step in our continued efforts to provide additional value to our customers,” said company president Wynn Elliott.
