Satair (Hall 1 Stand C12) has become the exclusive distributor for Eaton Aerospace Group’s fuel systems division (FDS) in the UK. Denmark-based Satair has also agreed to provide aircraft-on-ground (AOG) and warranty return administration and support. Eaton and Satair have established a phased implementation plan designed to assure continuity of service and support during the transition.

Eaton Corporation has signed two new multi-million dollar contracts to produce aircraft hydraulic and fuel systems.

Bombardier selected the Irvine, California-based company to supply the hydraulic system for the new Learjet 85 model, and Sikorsky selected Eaton to supply the hydraulic and fuel systems and cockpit components (control panels and dimming controllers) for the new CH-53K heavy-lift U.S. Marine Corps helicopter.

Sikorsky Aircraft has selected Eaton Corp. (Stand No. P39) to design and manufacture the primary hydraulic power generation system for the U.S. Marine Corp’s new heavy-lift CH-53K helicopter.

During the development phase of the program, which runs through 2014, Eaton will provide the systems and components for five to 10 shipsets, in addition to a number of test sets. The Marines expect to buy more than 156 CH-53Ks.

U.S. fluid and mechanical systems company Eaton Aerospace has embarked on a buying spree that aimed at doubling its size within five years.

Vice-president sales and marketing Einar Johnson says the acquisitions “must be in line with our strategic goals.” Eaton would, he added, purchase companies that would position it to serve its increasing global customer base.

Embraer has selected Eaton Corp. to design, develop and manufacture secondary power distribution units and cockpit control panels for the Phenom 100 very light jet. Eaton has already won contracts for the Phenom’s hydraulic power-generation package, flap and landing gear control hydraulic components, throttle quadrant, landing gear control level and flap selector control lever.
