Some 10,120 business jets worth $257 billion are expected to be delivered over the next 10 years (2012-2021), according to the third annual industry forecast published late last month by Zenith Jet, a Montreal-based business aviation services company.

Jet Aviation St. Louis has developed a Wi-Fi STC for the Bombardier Challenger 300, Global Express and Global Express XRS. The new STC joins existing Wi-Fi STCs for the Gulfstream V, Challenger 605, Learjet 40 and Learjet 45. Wi-Fi coverage is now available for both domestic and international operations, providing full Internet functionality in the aircraft.
Smyrna Air Center has added Mather Aviation in Rancho Cordova, Calif., to its network of authorized installation centers for the Power 90 engine conversion program. The MRO offers inspection, repair, component overhaul and modification for Bombardier, Learjet, Hawker, Falcon, Gulfstream and Cessna jets and Beech King Air turboprops. Power 90 is a conversion program for owners of King Air 90s that replaces the installed PT6s with more powerful 705-shp GE M601E-11As.
Bombardier yesterday landed firm orders for five midsize Learjet 85 and two large-cabin Challenger 605 jets from Munich-based Jet Air Flug. "Our strategy is clear," said Patrick Raftery, group CEO, Jet Air.

Opera Aircraft Sales has become a sales agent for Gulfstream business aircraft in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania. The company, which is based in the Slovak capital Bratislava, is part of the same group as charter operator OperaJet, which operates two Cessna Citation CJ3s, a CJ2, a CJ and a Mustang. It is due to add a Dassault Falcon 2000 this month.
Delta Air Lines subsidiary Delta AirElite Business Jets acquired Kinston, N.C.-based Segrave Aviation last month. Delta AirElite operates the Hawker 400XP and 800, Learjet 60, Challenger 604, GIV and G550; Segrave already operates essentially the same equipment, bringing the combined managed fleet to 45 aircraft and 200 employees.
Precision Turbines has entered into a partnering agreement with Reliable Jet Maintenance that allows the former to offer engine and aircraft repair services to Cessna Citation, Gulfstream, Beechcraft, Learjet, Challenger, Dassault and Hawker operators. The company may also perform 91.207, 91.411, and 91.413 inspections, as well as maintenance on Pratt & Whitney series, Rolls-Royce, Honeywell and General Electric CJ series engines.
Delta AirElite Business Jets recently announced that it is the first U.S. charter operator to add a Dassault (Booth No. 235) Falcon 7X to its fleet. The 5,950-nm-range trijet will be based in the Rocky Mountain region, the charter firm said. The Falcon 7X is on display this week at Orlando Executive Airport.
