By year-end, Wallan will take delivery of a pre-owned Falcon 900EX EASy II, and in the second quarter of next year will receive a new Falcon 900LX.

Steve Varsano, founder of private aircraft sales company The Jet Business, took AIN through the selection process for a typical customer based in Dubai and wanting a jet that can fly nonstop to and from London. With a required range of 2,955 nm, The Jet Business database indicated it contained 26 suitable aircraft, such as the Bombardier Challenger 605. To go travel further, the shortlist could be extended to include a Gulfstream G550, Dassault Falcon 7X and Bombardier Global Express.
Dassault Falcon sees demand for business jets recovering throughout the Middle East, thanks to large operators in the region and the increased globalization of commerce. The company expects to deliver six Falcons to Middle East customers over the next 18 months, expanding the Falcon fleet in the Middle East by 10 percent. More than 60 Falcon business jets already operate in the region.
Dassault has introduced yet another new version of its popular Falcon 2000 super-midsize twinjet. The 2000LXS combines the range and amenities of the Falcon 2000LX with the short field capabilities of the Falcon 2000S.
The Middle East remains the sales sweet-spot when it comes to regions that business jet manufacturers look to for customers despite its relatively small size and the rapid emergence of China, Brazil and other countries where momentum is building. This is true in particular of large cabin jets and corporate versions of airliners.
Dassault Falcon has received EASA approval for a supplemental type certificate (STC) to install ADS-B out (automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast out) on Falcon 50EXs and classic Falcon 2000s equipped with Pro Line 4 avionics. With this STC, Falcon operators can take advantage of the safety and operational improvements of the new technology before the mandated compliance date set by airworthiness authorities. Both aircraft received similar FAA STC approval within the past year.
