Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre, which is the host facility for ABACE at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, chalked up an aviation first in China when it received approval last month from the CAAC, China’s airworthiness authority, for maintenance on the Dassault Falcon 900 series, which includes the 900DX, 900LX and 900EX EASy models.

Dassault Falcon is offering its FalconBroadcast airborne aircraft health-monitoring service for the in-production Falcon 900LX, Falcon 2000LX and the new Falcon 2000LXS. In service EASy aircraft can have their service activated at any Dassault Falcon authorized service center.
Falcon operators have additional support from Dassault Aircraft Services (DAS) with the opening of a new satellite service station in Van Nuys, Calif. It will provide troubleshooting and line maintenance for all Falcon 50s, 900s and 2000s as well as the Falcon 7X.
Dassault Falcon’s new FalconBroadcast airborne health monitoring service is available on all EASy-equipped Falcon 900s and 2000s, the company announced today. FalconBroadcast enables operators to address unscheduled maintenance events in flight, with the help of automated real-time troubleshooting tools and satellite links, allowing the issue to be resolved as soon as the aircraft lands. In-service EASy aircraft can have their service activated at any Dassault Falcon-authorized service center.
EASA certified the Falcon 2000S and Falcon 2000LXS large-cabin business jets on Monday, Dassault CEO Eric Trappier announced today during the firm’s annual press event in Paris. The manufacturer previously predicted Falcon 2000S certification last year, while the EASA’s nod for the Falcon 2000LXS was anticipated for the first half of this year.
Dassault Falcon celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Falcon 2000 this week at the Abu Dhabi Air Expo 2013. The first flight of the large-cabin Falcon twinjet took place in March 1993 in Bordeaux-Mérignac, France.
A good part of Dassault Aviation’s profile at this week’s Aero India show is based on its Rafale fighter, which was last year selected for the country’s new Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft requirement. But the French manufacturer also has big business aviation ambitions in India, as is evidenced by the pair of Falcon 7X trijets it has on display this week in Bangalore, along with a Falcon 900LX and a 2000S.
Both CAE and FlightSafety International have been awarded a Falcon Training Policy Manual certificate by Dassault, allowing the training service providers to offer instruction for Falcon pilots and maintenance personnel. CAE delivers training for the Falcon 10; 50/50EX; 100; 900B/C/EX/EX EASy/EX EASy II; 2000/EX/EX EASy; and 7X. FlightSafety training includes the Falcon 10/100, Falcon 20/20-5, Falcon 50/EX; Falcon 200; Falcon 2000/DX/LX/EX/EX EASy, Falcon 900/C/DX/EX/EX EASy/LX; and 7X.
The latest upgrade in Duncan Aviation’s “Glass Box” project is a Falcon 900B retrofitted with a full Universal Avionics LCD glass cockpit, replacing the original Honeywell SPZ-8000 cathode-ray-tube displays.
The upgrade includes five Universal EFI-890R LED-backlit LCDs, engine indicating system replacing the original engine instruments, dual Universal UNS-1Fw flight management systems with Waas/LPV/satellite-based augmentation system capability and dual Vision 1 computers delivering synthetic vision on the primary displays.
