Yukon, Okla.-based repair and refurbishment center Legacy Aviation Services (Booth No. C9432) hired Russ Hampton as a service technician at its Clarence E. Page Municipal Airport facility. Hampton has more than 25 years of maintenance and technical experience on a wide variety of turboprop and jet aircraft, including the Twin Commander series, one airframe in which the company specializes.

Virginia’s Manassas Regional Airport, 30 miles from Washington, D.C., now offers U.S. Customs clearance services at the terminal building from 6 a.m. to midnight. Manassas has grown as an alternate airport for operators flying to the D.C. area, offering no landing fees, competitive fuel prices and two parallel runways, the longest 5,700 feet.

Pinnacle Airlines has decided to move the headquarters of its Colgan Air subsidiary to Memphis, placing the two operating units in the same location “mainly for operations, planning and communications purposes.” Some 50 Colgan employees plan to make the move to Memphis from Manassas, Va., “in the November-December time frame,” while another 45 chose not to move.

At busy Manassas Regional Airport near Washington, D.C., FlightWorks has opened its third hangar/office facility for charter and aircraft management customers. Billed as private and secure for aircraft owners, the $3.5 million Manassas FlightWorks facility features 30,000 sq ft of hangar space, 10,000 sq ft for offices and 11 private garages where aircraft management customers can park their cars during trips.
