Brazil’s Embraer celebrated the first anniversary of its listing on the New York Stock Exchange by taking its ERJ-190 road show to the Big Apple’s Rockefeller Center in late July. The “rolling tour,” which showcased a partial ERJ-190 mockup rigged to an 18-wheel truck, stopped in 12 cities over the summer and attracted an estimated 2,500 visitors, including executives from at least 25 airlines.

Indianapolis-based Chautauqua Airlines added its fourth code-share contract last month when it inked a 10-year deal with Delta Air Lines to fly at least 22 Embraer regional jets from Orlando, Fla., as Delta Connection.

St. Louis-based regional carrier Trans States Airlines canceled 12 flights last night and at least 40 more today to check nosewheel steering mechanism relay switches on its Embraer ERJ 145s. The internal audit comes as the FAA continues a sweep of U.S. airline inspection records that most recently saw thousands of flights canceled by American Airlines last week.

Almost immediately after US Airways’ emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy in late March, company CEO David Siegel told reporters that the company would place an order for 100 regional jets for MidAtlantic Airways, its new Pittsburgh-based regional unit slated to begin service during this year’s fourth quarter.
