Sometimes a company rebranding is much more than just slapping on a new logo. Dart Aerospace (Booth No. C5411) is using the 2013 Heli-Expo show as the introduction of not only its new black and red logo, but also as the debut for the reorganization of all Dart sub-brands (Apical Industries, DAS, Dart Helicopter Services, Geneva Aviation, Red Barn Machine). Dart claims more than 600 STCs and offers 5,000 products for sale across these subsidiaries.
Aero Specialties of Boise, Idaho (Booth No. 8049), is expanding its global distribution and warehousing network by teaming up with AeroStock of France, Franke Care Systems of Germany, TDH Visions of Saudi Arabia and Movac Group of Mexico. According to Aero Specialties, each entity has its own regional distribution system that will allow the company to have a larger, more cost-effective international footprint.
Last year, VisionAire of Chesterfield, Mo., signed a contract with Israel Aircraft Industries for the Tel Aviv OEM to conduct a nine-month technical assessment of the single-engine Vantage VA-10. Although not yet completed, the assessment has confirmed that the redesigned VA-10 (with some minor modifications) will meet its performance numbers, according to Jim Rice, chairman and CEO.
