The reformed European Helicopter Association–operating under the acronym newEHA–publicly touched down for the first time at the 2009 Helitech show at Duxford, UK, albeit having had to adopt a slightly revised flight plan. At the 11th hour, the European HEMS and Air Ambulance Committee (EHAC) opted not to merge with newEHA.

All 10 copies of the Eurocopter AS 332L2 at Bond Offshore Helicopters will now fly the Blue Sky Network Model D1000A modem unit for flight-following service. Carlton van Putten, Blue Sky’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, said 11 of the units have just shipped to cover Bond’s entire fleet along with a spare. Bond Offshore flies missions for crew change, VIP charter, and search and rescue from Aberdeen, Scotland.
A well known name is returning to British skies with creation of a new rotorcraft operation to support North Sea oil and gas exploration and production activity. The name is Bond, Bond Offshore Helicopters (BOH), and it will be licensed to fly.
Bond Air Services has announced a contract for two night-vision-equipped Eurocopter EC 135T2 helicopters that will operate a 24/7 service for police in the Strathclyde district of Scotland. The aircraft will be the first NVIS EC 135T2s to operate in the UK.
