The FAA issued a special ATC procedure Notam last week for the upcoming Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Ga. The Notam becomes effective April 7 and requires slot reservations for any of the Augusta-area airports: Bush Field, Daniel Field, Aiken Municipal and Thomson-McDuffie County.
Augusta Regional Airport
The FAA will soon begin managing E-STMP slots for IFR aircraft arriving for this year’s U.S. Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Ga., between April 8 and April 15 from 6 a.m. local time through 11 p.m. local time daily for Augusta Regional Airport (AGS), Daniel Field (DNL), Aiken Municipal (AIK) and Thomson-McDuffie County Airport (HQU). Parking reservations are also required at Augusta between April 1 and April 15.
Landmark Aviation has completed a $2 million hangar and office facility at its FBO on Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). The addition includes another 13,500 sq ft of space for aircraft storage and maintenance, a new three-bay ground equipment support hangar and 4,800 sq ft of office space.
