Jet Aviation Moscow has signed an agreement with Kazan-based Tulpar Interior Group to offer scheduled full interior refurbishment capabilities out of Jet Aviation’s maintenance facility at Moscow Vnukovo Airport. New services include: carpet replacement; minor repair or replacement of interior components; rejuvenation and protective coating of leather surfaces; fabrication of new seat upholstery; repair or replacement of coating or headlining on windows and other panels; and rectification of any decorative varnish defects on veneer and hardwood surfaces.
If romance is high on the list of interior design, Townsend Leather has a perfect idea: a new lace weave pattern. “In fashion, lace gives a romantic feel to any outfit, so why not do the same for your [aircraft] interior?” asks the company.
It’s not a true weave, but an embossing pattern that allows availability of full hides. For most part the tones are dark neutrals; new patterns use some different colors.
New Zealand-based Altitude Completion Centre has taken delivery of 16 executive seats from Italian interior components supplier Iacobucci for installation in a new Boeing Business Jet.

This is reinforcing the company’s activities in furniture, which already includes tables, side ledges, credenzas, closets and other interior components. In the future, Sabena Technics intends to increase the shop’s size and develop new expertise in upholstery.

Cabin interiors specialist Lantal is probably best known for its carpets and upholstery, but the Swiss company also has just launched its new Pneumatic Comfort System, which it says makes seats more passenger-friendly. The system’s pressure-adjustable cushions have been in service with Swiss International Airline’s business and first-class long-haul aircraft for the two years and are now available for more widespread use.
