Orlando, Fla.-based The Allen Groupe, which has operations in Europe and the U.S., signed an agreement last week at EBACE to provide aircraft cleaning, detailing and paint repair services on all Bombardier business jets at the airframer’s wholly owned Amsterdam Service Centre at Amsterdam-Schiphol International Airport. In addition, Bombardier tapped OHS Aviation Services of Berlin to create custom interiors and perform cabin repairs on all Bombardier business jets at the Amsterdam facility.

Finding an indoor parking spot for your business jet at the notoriously congested general aviation section of Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport just got easier. Aviation technical services provider JetSupport (Booth 1937, with KLM Jet Center) announced here at EBACE that it has gained access to 8,000 sq m (86,000 sq ft) of hangar space it plans to use exclusively for indoor aircraft parking.
AAR is expanding its parts inventory for the European market, stocking more high-demand airframe and engine-related components, along with bulky, difficult-to-move items such as aircraft surfaces and nacelles at its main distribution center in Amsterdam. . The move is designed to ensure that customers’ parts and inventory needs can be supported quickly and more economically.
The opportunity to teach pilots how to manage aircraft upsets is now available in Europe with the opening of an Aviation Performance Solutions location at Seppe Airport at Bosschenhoofd in the Netherlands. APS will use the Slingsby Firefly T-67 in the European training system. The company will use CAE’s level-D Boeing 737 simulator at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam for clients who plan to complete the final phase of training, which uses simulation.

Bombardier has designated two new AOG and line maintenance facilities (LMF) in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific region. Arab Wings of Amman, Jordan, is now an AOG LMF for the Challenger 604 and 605. Arab Wings began operations in 1975 and offers charter, aircraft management, handling, dispatch and maintenance service. It is located on Jordan’s Amman Civil Airport.
Bombardier Aerospace has embarked on an aircraft service program in which it will invest some $35 million over the next five years to structure a worldwide service and maintenance network centered on three major hubs. The Canadian airframer last month officially opened its new wholly owned service center at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, where some $8 million has already been invested.
