Jetex Flight Support set up a new handling facility at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport in the Philippines. The Dubai-based group will provide support services for private jet operators in Manila, and will be able to supervise ground handling at other Filipino airports. The new facility features a lounge, and Jetex staff can assist crews with any local arrangements. The company provides credit terms and facilitates applications for overflight and landing permits, as well as all aspects of ground handling.
Last year Avion Pacific celebrated its 20th anniversary at the ABACE show in Shanghai, and since then the company has performed even better than company founder Wu Zhengdong expected. “Last year was the best ever for us,” he said.
Avion Pacific, headquartered in Shenzhen, sold seven Sikorsky S-92 and nine S-76D helicopters and half a dozen Beechcraft King Airs last year. Deliveries of the helicopters will take place this year.

Ed Bolen, National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) president and CEO, and Li Derun, Shanghai Airport Authority president, signed a memorandum of agreement at ABACE 2014 yesterday to keep the annual Asian business aviation show at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport until at least 2021. The agreement doubles the life of the original five-year arrangement signed by the parties in June 2011 to hold the show at the Chinese airport starting with ABACE 2012.

India’s economic downturn over the past couple of years has resulted in negative growth for general aviation there, which has “hit rock bottom,” according to Rohit Kapur, president of the country’s Business Aviation Operators Association (BAOA).
ExecuJet Aviation, which has made steady progress in the Asia Pacific region over the past few years, is set to open a new maintenance repair and overhaul center just outside Beijing this month through its local joint venture ExecuJet Haite Aviation Services. The Swiss-based group has offices in Beijing and in Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian capital, and is currently constructing an FBO in Bali.
Pilatus Aircraft has named Air Alliance a PC-12 sales and service center for Germany and Austria. Air Alliance provides aircraft maintenance, sale of new and used aircraft, air transport and flight training. The company employs more than 100 people in Burbach, Germany, at Siegerland Airport. Wolfgang Krombach, managing director of Air Alliance, said, “The PC-12 NG is ideal for Germany and Austria. Many airports here have short or unpaved runways, which the PC-12 NG can handle with ease.”
