On Monday, Bombardier Aerospace inaugurated its first dedicated Customer Response Team (CRT) aircraft, a Learjet 45 that will be used to provide a rapid response for aircraft on ground (AOG)/unscheduled maintenance events in the continental U.S.

Jet Aviation, a subsidiary of General Dynamics, has appointed Vitaly Aleksikov as the general director of Jet Aviation Moscow Vnukovo. In this role he is responsible for overseeing the operations at the facility, which includes aircraft maintenance, AOG (aircraft on ground) response, supply-chain management and quality control.
Aircraft on ground (AOG) maintenance will be available for Cessna 208 Caravans at all Cessna Aircraft factory-owned Citation Service Centers. According to the company, employees at the Citation Service Centers have already received the necessary training, and the tooling is in place.
Signature Flight Support celebrated the launch of its sixth Signature TechnicAir at Washington Dulles International Airport early this month, at the same time announcing the facility’s certification as an Embraer authorized service center. TechnicAir Dulles will perform maintenance, repair and overhaul services for the full line of Embraer business jets.
Jet Aviation Flight Services of Teterboro, N.J., introduced JetStart, a turnkey program to assist new aircraft buyers in establishing a flight department before aircraft delivery, at NBAA. JetStart offers ad hoc services that can be integrated into a service package to support owner-specific operational objectives.
Jet Aviation’s new Paris Le Bourget facility, which recently received EASA Part 145 line station approval, was appointed a Bombardier AOG (aircraft on the ground) line maintenance facility. The appointment covers line maintenance and AOG support for all Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global business jets.
Jet Aviation Moscow Vnukovo recently became an independent Russian legal entity and can now perform maintenance services under its own EASA 145 maintenance approval. The approval gives “us greater flexibility to tailor our portfolio of aircraft services to better match our customer fleet profile and requirements,” said managing director Ian Ludlow.
Republic Airport Farmingdale, N.Y.-based Talon Air, an aircraft management and charter operator, has expanded its services after receiving FAA certification of its FAR Part 145 repair station. The MRO offers Talon’s previously in-house maintenance services to the public. The new facility will focus on repairs, inspections and avionics installations for all classes of aircraft.
