The Dubai office of charter broker Air Charter Services (ACS) is arranging potential evacuation flights for people who might need to leave Egypt in a hurry. According to ACS deputy managing director Justin Bowman, “We have been getting a large number of calls from worried companies and have already placed various aircraft on standby at Cairo Airport to fly into Dubai in case the situation deteriorates. We are also receiving requests to fly to Cyprus and other surrounding countries to escape the troubles in Egypt.” ACS evacuated nearly 15,000 foreign nations from Egypt, Libya and Tunisia in 2011.
