StandardAero announced today it has appointed Rob Cords to the position of senior v-p of its airlines and fleets business.It is the largest of StandardAero’s business sectors.Cords previously served as senior v-p of corporate strategy and customer development since joining StandardAero in 2009. In his former role, he influenced the overall strategic direction of the company during a time of rapid growth and diversification. Before joining StandardAero he was associate partner for Oliver Wyman’s aerospace and defense practice.
Hewlett-Packard signed up for the Gray Stone Advisors aviation performance dashboard two years ago, according to Rich Walsh, HP’s director of global resiliency and aviation. Walsh is a Gulfstream V captain and flies 150 to 200 hours a year. “I’m a liaison with corporate and I have accountability for the spending in this department, the variances and process improvements,” he said.
