NationAir (Booth No. N5311) announced at NBAA 13 that it has created an aviation product liability division, to be lead by 15-year insurance veteran Jamie Benthusen. The company, founded in 1978, has pioneered specialized insurance programs, with clients in 30 countries worldwide.

“Our products liability division is part of our commitment to provide the full spectrum of risk management for our aftermarket aviation suppliers. It is a natural progression to extend our services through the supply chain,” said Jeffrey Bauer, president of NationAir.

NationAir Aviation Insurance has added in-house IS-BAO audits to its services. The company’s claims advisor, Tom Surgalski, is now an accredited IS-BAO auditor and will provide its new offerings, which include Stage I, II and III IS-BAO audits, gap audits and general consulting on IS-BAO standards and safety management systems. Surgalski will be available to discuss IS-BAO issues at NationAir’s booth at the NBAA Convention next week.

NationAir Aviation Insurance has debuted a free iPad/iPhone app that gives clients one-touch access to its brokers, account executives and risk-management partners. The app, which can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store, also includes a claims checklist and allows clients to begin the claims process right from the app in the event of an accident or incident.
