Raisbeck Engineering named Keith Anderson v-p of engineering; he will report directly to CEO and founder James Raisbeck. Anderson will be responsible for overseeing all engineering projects, certifications and FAA engineering interactions. In addition, he will maintain his role within product integration, product development and sustaining engineering. Before joining Raisbeck Engineering in 2012, Anderson was at Quest Aircraft, where he held various positions, including chief pilot, director of engineering and director of customer service.

The Raisbeck aft fuselage locker for the Learjet 60 has completed all of the FAA-required certification tests, the company said yesterday. The test aircraft, S/N 60-197, is now in refurbishment at West Star Aviation, where it will receive a full paint job and interior update before redelivery to its owner. Raisbeck’s Learjet 60 aft fuselage locker adds 30 cu ft of storage space and closely resembles its earlier lockers designed and certified for 30-series Learjets.

Blade quarter-chord sweep has been increased to 30 degrees at its outer diameter, and the propeller diameter has been lengthened by six inches, to 96 inches.
Raisbeck Engineering has come to LABACE to show off its new swept-blade turbofan propellers for the Beechcraft King Air 200 family. The new propellers received certification from the Brazilian civil aviation authorities in June and last month the European Aviation Safety Agency granted its approval as well.
Raisbeck Engineering’s swept-blade propellers for 200-series King Airs have been certified by the EASA, adding to a previous FAA approval. Thanks to a higher blade sweep and increased propeller diameter, the new propellers provide for quieter operation and increased thrust, according to Raisbeck. They provide more than 1,090-feet improvement in published FAA takeoff performance compared with the OEM propellers, Raisbeck said. Deliveries of production swept-blade propellers began in the U.S. in March.

Raisbeck Engineering’s swept-blade “turbofan propellers” for the King Air 200 series are now approved in Brazil after the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) granted certification late last month.
A spokesperson for Raisbeck Engineering told AIN, “There are about 500 King Airs in Brazil alone, making it a major market for us. We hope that the swept-blade prop reenergizes our presence in the South American region and we’ll be focusing a lot of our attention on the market as it continues to grow.”
Seattle-based performance modification specialist Raisbeck Engineering and Hartzell Propeller have unveiled a new swept-blade propeller for the Hawker Beechcraft King Air series. The newly certified propeller is the result of three years of development, according to the companies, which describe it as the first business aviation turbine propeller using practical swept-wing theory as an integral part of its design. The propellers have aluminum blades and hubs.
