Qatar Airways’ private jet division, Qatar Executive, received EASA approval to provide maintenance and repair services for Bombardier Challenger 604/605s and Globals. With this certification, Qatar Executive can offer scheduled maintenance, repair and warranty services for European-registered Challengers and Globals at its Doha hub. The new EASA Part 145 certification complements the existing approval from Qatar’s Civil Aviation Authority and underpins Qatar Executive’s status as a Bombardier-authorized service facility.

Bombardier Aerospace’s Dubai parts depot has moved to a new facility to enhance its aftermarket support for operators flying to Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). It allows greater inventory capacity and, as part of a continuing priority to improve competitiveness, and Bombardier says it has reduced prices on many rotable exchanges and a large number of proprietary and non-proprietary new parts.
West Star Aviation is offering the enhanced flight vision system known as HUD Vision Access (HVA) for the Challenger 604 and 605. Certification is expected next month. It consists of three LRUs and provides safer operation in low visibility, enhanced situational awareness, terrain avoidance and runway incursion detection, according to the company. The most prominent benefit is lower landing credits to minimums of 100 feet above the ground.

Jetex Flight Support, which provides business aircraft handling services around the world and operates two FBOs in Europe, is planning an aggressive growth strategy that could see its FBO holdings triple over the next year. In just a little more than six years since its founding, the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) has grown from a small regional organization to an influential shaper of business aviation’s future in 23 Middle East and North African countries.
