Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) has signed an exclusive five-year agreement with Avions de Transport Regional to maintain engines for Air Deccan’s fleet of ATR 42 and ATR 72 turboprop aircraft. The two-and-a-half-year-old Air Deccan offers short-haul domestic service in India.

The Airborne Tactical Observation & Surveillance (ATOS) system developed by Selex Sensors and Airborne Systems (Stand A1029) has been a key feature of the equipment fitted to the ATR 42MP (maritime patrol) aircraft that has been in service for several years. Now the system is available in a more compact form as Atos C, and has been installed in the Britten-Norman Defender 4000.
Tadiran (Stand A943) is here introducing its MobileNet military cellular mobile network for encrypted communications. It is designed for fast deployment and combines the ease of use of cellular telephony, familiar commercial cellular handsets and end-to-end snap-on encryption, the Israeli-based company said. MobileNet provides interoperability with existing telecommunications networks.
