StandardAero is the first authorized independent service center in North America approved and trained to perform wing tank (dry bay) modifications on the Dassault Falcon 50, 900 and 2000. The modification requirement, outlined in recent service bulletin advisories issued by Dassault, is mandatory for all Falcon 50, 900 and 2000 operators.

Hawker Beechcraft (HBC) has restructured its Hawker Beechcraft Services, Rapid and Hawker Beechcraft Customer Support into a single organization called Hawker Beechcraft Global Customer Support. Additionally, in an effort to define more clearly its role within the organization, the company’s parts and distribution division, formerly known as Rapid, is now Hawker Beechcraft Parts and Distribution.
Tulsa, Okla.-based BizJet International has delivered its first Airbus A318 Elite. The aircraft, which is provided with an FAA and EASA supplemental type certificate, was outfitted with a VIP cabin interior during its seven-month completion. Work on the second of a total of eight Airbus A318 Elites contracted so far by BizJet started this month. Six more A318 Elites will be delivered to Airbus by the end of 2013.
Embraer last month officially opened a service center dedicated exclusively to executive jets at its headquarters in São José dos Campos. The company is offering a new support and services option especially for Latin American customers.
“We’re really pleased with the continued growth of the Maintenance Skills Competition (MSC),” Ken MacTiernan, MSC committee chairman and an AMT Society director, told AIN. This year’s competition is again being held in conjunction with the Aviation Industry Expo (March 16 to 18) at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
