Boise, Idaho-based Aviation Specialties Unlimited has installed night-vision goggles in Reach Air Medical Services’ Agusta A109, Bell 407 and BO 105 fleet. Chief pilot Vicky Spediacci said that Reach, based at Santa Rosa, Calif., put its crews through an FAA-approved structured and specific training program provided by the equipment supplier.

FH1100 Manufacturing will offer all-turbine pilot training in the Florida panhandle beginning in May. Course content will range from ab initio through commercial and CFI-I. The commercial pilot curriculum can be tailored to individual pilot needs, will include training in elevated platform operations for potential offshore pilots and–at advanced levels–external load training might also be offered.
Turbomeca is investing approximately $50 million to expand production and product support activities at its Grand Prairie, Texas facility.

Cabin electronics specialist Intheairnet, based in Irvine, Calif., is reportedly close to signing its first business jet customer for the new Cabflex cabin entertainment and control system. The system includes audio/video switching, a graphical control unit for access to lighting and audio, individual seat controls, video monitors and a DVD player that can accommodate a variety of formats.
