Boeing 787 launch customer ANA reports dispatch reliability of 99.63 percent and 98.51 percent, respectively for its domestic-service and international Dreamliners, less in each case than its fleet average. The carrier said that it expects 787 reliability will improve as it gains more knowledge of the airplane, which continues to present technical issues.
Airbus will increase its share China’s Harbin Hafei Airbus Composite Manufacturing Center (HMC) from 20 to 25 percent under the terms of an agreement signed recently by Airbus COO Günter Butschek and AVIC executive vice president Geng Ruguang. Established in the 2009, the joint venture involves Airbus and a group of Chinese partners led by Avic.
Boeing will build the composite wing for the 777X at a new center in Everett, Washington, just north of the existing Everett widebody assembly factory, the company announced Tuesday. Schedules call for the airplane to enter service in 2020.

Thailand’s Sabaidee Airways has contracted Ameco Beijing to provide maintenance for its Boeing 737 fleet through 2018. The agreement, signed at the Singapore Airshow on Wednesday, covers AOG support, airframe C and D checks, repair and overhaul for engines and landing gear. Ameco Beijing is a joint venture between Air China and Lufthansa German Airlines.
Honeywell has announced that it is partnering with GMF AeroAsia to maintain the 131-9A auxiliary power units for the new Airbus A320 fleet being acquired by Garuda Indonesia. The first five of a 25-aircraft order are being delivered this year, with the last due in 2018.
Bell Helicopter has announced that it has delivered the first 407GX aircraft into India. The customer is SpanAir, a leading air charter company that has operated the Bell 407 since 1996, and later added a Model 429. The company provides customized travel options and offers a modern, well-equipped fleet.
