Training provider ServiceElements launched a service delivery audit program that is designed to help business aviation maintenance and other aviation service providers find and solve service-delivery problems. The company has been developing the audit program for the past three years.

PMA parts manufacturer Heico reported it is on track to meet its 2008 earnings-per-share guidance. The Hollywood, Fla. company’s net income increased 18 percent, to a record $12.827 million, or 47 cents per diluted share, for the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2008, up from $10.914 million, or 40 cents per diluted share, for the same period last year.

The FAA’s approach to Airworthiness Directive (AD) compliance was a significant feature in the Department of Transportation’s Independent Review Team report on “Managing Risks in Civil Aviation.” The team was formed after the FAA suffered what the report called a “perfect storm” earlier this year during AD compliance issues with Southwest Airlines and American Airlines.

After 12 years at Dassault Falcon, Gerald Goguen has joined Greenwich AeroGroup as executive vice president. Located in Greenwich, Conn., Greenwich AeroGroup owns three maintenance and FBO businesses: Atlantic Aero (Greensboro, N.C.); Western Aircraft (Boise, Idaho); and Summit Aviation, (Middletown, Del.). “It was an exciting opportunity,” Goguen replied when asked why he left Dassault Falcon.

Embraer held a grand opening ceremony for its first dedicated U.S. factory-owned business jet service center at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Arizona on Monday. The $10 million facility, with a 47,700-sq-ft hangar, will provide maintenance services for the Phenom 100 and 300 and Legacy 450, 500 and 600 jets. The Phenom 100 is next to enter service, anticipated by year-end.
