Jet Aviation Hong Kong was granted Part 145 repair station certification by the FAA, allowing the company to provide maintenance services on U.S.-registered aircraft, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, airframe and engine repair, avionics modifications, inspections and defect rectifications.

The three companies–Lufthansa Technik, Bombardier Aerospace and ExecuJet Aviation Group–that operate the joint venture Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services (LBAS) have agreed to modify and extend the terms of their arrangement and continue operating the maintenance company that they started more than 10 years ago.
The board of directors of the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (Pama) is moving ahead with a strategic plan following Pama’s separation from the SAE on June 1. The first step was hiring Potomac Management Resources to manage day-to-day operations.
The National Air Transportation Association (NATA), responding to recent member requests, issued a statement that clarifies FAA regulations that apply to updates of navigational databases used on modern avionics. The FAA changed the Part 43 Appendix A regulations in 1996, according to NATA, and classified database updates as preventive maintenance instead of maintenance.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) “is one step closer to issuing security regulations for repair stations,” according to the Modification and Replacement Parts Association (Marpa). The TSA has submitted a draft of a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) to the White House Office of Management and Budget for review, Marpa noted. The rulemaking is five years later than the Aug.
