Honeywell-CAE Training Alliance has begun offering maintenance training courses for technicians in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Barry Lindsten, Honeywell's director of customer publications and training solutions, told AIN it is part of an ongoing program to expand global training offerings.
Sabreliner will create approximately 400 new jobs over the next four years as it expands its operations. The company has broken ground for a 27,000-sq-ft aircraft stripping and paint facility in Perryville, Mo., that will enable it to accommodate more customers and aircraft up to the size of the large-cabin Gulfstreams.
Bombardier business jet operators now have more options in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services (LBAS) has opened a line maintenance station in Riga, Latvia. The operation recently completed the required audit by the German Airworthiness Authority, acting on behalf of the EASA, and the facility is now open.
West Star Aviation donated a Learjet 35A to Northwestern Community College in Rangely, Colo. The company acquired the airplane last year as a source of parts for another Learjet project. That airplane “needed a fairly significant amount of work, and quite a few parts and components needed replacement.
