Embraer and GE recently held a series of test flights in an E170. The tests, flown out of Embraer’s Gavião Peixoto facilities, benchmarked the operational characteristics of the airplane and its GE CF34-8E engines when powered by HEFA (hydro-processed esters and fatty acids) fuel under a broad range of unique flight conditions.

Hawker Beechcraft Global Customer Support (GCS) has expanded its relationship with ExecuJet in Lanseria, South Africa, naming the MRO an authorized service center (ASC) for the King Air. The designation builds upon a relationship that began last year when HBC approved ExecuJet Lanseria to be a Hawker ASC.

Embraer has selected Constant Aviation’s Cleveland facility to become an authorized service center for the Phenom 100 and 300. Under the terms of the agreement the MRO will be able to provide complete maintenance and avionics services as well as modifications, composite repairs, Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins on both types of aircraft.

Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services (LBAS), a Berlin-based maintenance, repair and overhaul facility specializing in Bombardier business aircraft, has expanded the capabilities at its line maintenance station in Riga, Latvia. The station is now able to serve aircraft flying under the registration of Bermuda as well as the Cayman Islands, and EASA line maintenance approval has been extended to the Bombardier Challenger 850.

Vector Aerospace anticipates that its move to a larger facility will allow it

Vector Aerospace has vacated its 6,500-sq-ft facility and moved into a new 19,000-sq-ft location to expand its shop and storage space. The 13-year-old Grapevine, Texas-based company offers maintenance, repair and overhaul services through three operating divisions: Acrohelipro Global Services, Atlantic Turbines International and Sigma Aerospace. All were rebranded Vector Aerospace in 2008.
