WestWind Technologies has opened its new Huntsville Aircraft Modification & Integration Center. According to the company, it is the first time the Huntsville International Airport (Alabama) has partnered with a small business. The 62,000-sq-ft facility provides engineering, manufacturing, electronics integration and structural modifications. The MRO, which is located near the U.S.
Major Chinese, Japanese and Korean airports, members of the newly formed East Asia Airports Alliance, have signed a “Green Airport Declaration” committing to adopt a number of measures to accelerate voluntary environmental improvements in all areas of airport operations, including maintenance and line service. A spokesman for the group told AIN it has three primary areas of focus.
