West Star Aviation has named John Hayes general manager at its Dallas Love Field facility. Hayes has more than 33 years’ experience in the aviation industry and was most recently director of maintenance with Business Jet Access in Dallas. Before that he held positions with NJI, Executive Jet International, Net Jets Middle East, Saudi Arabian Airlines and Gulfstream.

The company provides value-added engineering and high-precision machining, injection molding and tooling. “The primary differences between Rev B and Rev C is the inclusion of risk, project and configuration management, key process metrics, and expanded defense scope,” said Mike Martini, the company’s quality systems director.

Aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul service provider ST Aerospace has been certified as a Part 147 Maintenance Training Organization (MTO) by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and European Aviation Safety Agency to provide aircraft type training for narrow-body and widebody aircraft.

ExecuJet Middle East has sent a letter of intent to enter into a service agreement with Gal Mena, a joint venture formed between Gal Aviation, a member of the Gal Group of companies in Canada, and Mena Aerospace Enterprises of the Kingdom of Bahrain. StandardAero has added mobile service teams in Scottsdale, Ariz., and Dallas, Ga. Additional units are slated for northern Delaware, and a northeast-based avionics mobile team is scheduled to be launched by year-end, bringing the total number in North America to 12.

GE Aviation will oversee the design and construction of Emirate’s new engine overhaul shop to be built in Dubai. The 226,000-sq-ft facility will be located adjacent to Emirates’ existing test cell facility and will cost an estimated $120 million.
