Ruedi Kraft has been named vice president of market development and completion sales for Jet Aviation Basel effective December 1. In his new role, Kraft will oversee sales for the completion business in the EMEA and Asia region. He joins the company from Gulfstream Aerospace, where he had been regional vice president for the Middle East & North Africa since 2002.

Germanwings and Lufthansa Technik have signed a contract for technical services to support the airline’s fleet of 30 Airbus A319s. The contract includes a Lufthansa Technik fleet manager based at the airline’s headquarters in Cologne, Germany, who will act as the single point of contact for all operational issues.

JetFlite International has been awarded an FAR Part 145 repair station certificate for its JFI JetCenter on Long Beach Airport. The certificate allows JFI to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs and alterations.

Timco’s new facility in Wallburg, N.C., will add capacity for the company to ass

Timco Aerosystems has opened a new 120,000-sq-ft aircraft interiors manufacturing facility in Wallburg, N.C., near its Greensboro headquarters. The facility adds capacity to Timco’s existing seat manufacturing operations in Pacoima, Calif., where it assembles its FeatherWeight series of seats.

Embraer has named Constant Aviation’s Birmingham, Ala. facility an authorized service center for the Phenom 100 and 300. The facility will be allowed to provide complete maintenance and avionics services as well as modifications, composite repairs and work required by Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins on the Phenom series.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics will be offering an STC for its SmartStem wireless tire pressure system for the Dassault Falcon 20 and Falcon 50 starting next year. The STC retrofit kits will be available exclusively through Dassault Falcon Jet. Crane is in the process of certifying SmartStem on additional business, regional and large commercial aircraft.
