Jet Aviation recently added three customized service vehicles, bringing the total number available in the U.S. to five. The other two are located at Teterboro and Boston/Bedford. “Our mobile maintenance service vehicles provide the same quality of service that our customers get when they are in our service centers; it’s simply packaged ‘to go,” said Chuck Krugh, senior vice president of Jet Aviation St. Louis.

Pratt & Whitney Canada is offering a free PT6A seminar at EAA AirVenture 2012 in Oshkosh on Saturday, July 28 (Hangar B, booth 2132). The session will provide an opportunity for P&WC customers to meet with key people from the PT6A team responsible for supporting their operations, said P&WC Raffaele Virgili, vice president for customer service. The 75-minute seminar will provide design, operation and maintenance insights as well as a historic retrospective.

The FAA is proposing to adopt a new airworthiness directive for all Eurocopter BK117C2 helicopters with certain generator control units (GCU) installed. The AD is prompted by reports of internal short circuits in certain GCUs.

Component Control has released a new version of StockMarket.aero, a free online aviation parts e-marketplace. According to the company, enhancements include intuitive usability and navigation, making it quicker and easier to find qualified aviation services and parts. Stockmarket.aero lists more than 40 million line items of inventory and capability from more than 2,300 aircraft parts vendors. “Our goal with this upgrade is to provide more data at a glance, to improve the buyers’ experience and vendor visibility,” said Jason Cordoba, director of StockMarket.aero.

The FAA has issued an airworthiness directive for certain Bombardier Challenger 300s as a result of reports of deformation found at the neck of the pressure regulator body on the oxygen cylinder and regulator assembly (CRA). It requires an inspection to determine if a specified oxygen CRA is installed and to replace affected oxygen CRAs.

Embraer Executive Jets named Jay Beever as vice president for interior design at its Melbourne, Fla. facility. Beever has extensive experience in high-end luxury interior work in the business aviation and automotive industries. Previously, he worked as an interior design manager for the G650, G450 and G550 in the new-product development department at Gulfstream. He was also responsible for overseeing the design and construction of a new design studio for the company. Before that he developed several design enhancements for automobiles at Ford.
