A Eurocopter AS350B2 registered to Sundance Helicopters crashed late yesterday afternoon during a twilight flight near Nevada’s Hoover Dam, killing all five aboard. The remote location of the crash, 30 miles from Las Vegas, prompted recovery workers to delay efforts until today. The NTSB has sent a 12-person go-team to investigate.

Year-over-year business aircraft flying activity grew slightly by one percent, according to TraqPak data released this week by aviation services company Argus. The greatest growth during the past year was in the small-cabin-jet category, at 2.1 percent, followed by midsize cabins at 1.7 percent.
