Embraer Legacy 650 high-altitude landing and takeoff operations (Halto) have been certified by Brazil’s Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil, the São Paulo, Brazil-based aircraft manufacturer announced at LABACE 2012. This approval allows the Legacy 650 to operate at airports located up to 13,800 feet msl around the world, including those in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, China, India, Nepal and the U.S. EASA and FAA certifications of Halto are pending.

International Airport.
“We remain positive about continuing growth of the Brazilian economy, as well as that of all Latin America,” said Embraer vice president of sales for Latin America Breno Corrêa, discussing the debut of the company’s Lineage 1000 this week.
The Latin American Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (LABACE) continues to grow, and next week’s show, to be held from August 15 to 17 in São Paulo, Brazil, will be the biggest and best yet, according to the sponsoring Aviação Brasileira de Aviação Geral (Abag).
A record 71 aircraft are expected for LABACE 2012 at São Paulo Congonhas Airport next week (August 15 to 17), but unlike last year those coming from overseas will have to stop elsewhere to clear customs, coming and going.
